St. Nicholas Catholic Women Group

All women are welcome! Gatherings are on every second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm.  We are in charge of our annual Harvest and Basque dinners among other little fundraisers to help our Parish and our School.   President: Cheryl Fagan 

Pro-Life Rosary

Unite as a community praying the Rosary for the sanctity of all life from conception until natural death. Meditative hymns are sung, along with the recitation of the Rosary. No experience required. Mentors provided. Contact the coordinators.

Eucharistic Adoration

Monday, Tuesday, Friday 8:30-9:30 am.
Tuesday-Friday 12:00 pm-1:00 pm.
Thursday/Jueves: 9:30 am - 5:45 pm
Sunday/Domingos: 6pm 

The Blessed Sacrament is exposed and adored by volunteers who sign up for one hour or more to pray before the Lord Jesus present in the Monstrance.

Finance Council

Advises the Pastor on financial matters of the parish and school. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets. Meets once a month at 6:30 pm.                 President: Todd Merrigan

Offertory Counters

A group that counts the funds collected at Mass each week.

Parish Pastoral Council

The PPC is involved in most activities and programs effecting the liturgical and spiritual life of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Meets once a month at 5:00 pm. President: Teresa Espinoza

Stations of the Cross

Held Friday evenings during Lent.

Usher

Volunteers who assist people to their seat if necessary. They also take up the collection. Lead by our Knights of Columbus and our Hispanic Comities.    Admins: Michael Henscheid (English)             Chabelo Guevara (Spanish)

Hispanic Comity

Group of men and women in charge of a all the Hispanic groups in our parish. Leaders of our annual Kermes that is one of fundraising events. Meetings are once a month at 7:30 pm.                              President: Gerardo Juarez 

Guadalupanas

Group of women that meet every 12th of the month at 7pm in the church to pray the Rosary in devotion of Our Lady of Guadalupe. In charge of our famous 4th of July food booth and Our Lady of Guadalupe feast day on December 12th.                       President: Graciela Vega

Knights of Columbus Group

All men are welcome! Join us every first and third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm for our 3rd degree meeting and every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm for our 4th degree meeting in the Parish Hall. Any new members are welcome. We are in charge of the annual Spaghetti Dinner and German Sausage Dinner among other little fundraisers to help the Parish. President: Troy Charles

 

Altar Servers

Boys and girls who assist the priest at the liturgy. Must be 3rd grade and older and have already received their First Holy Communion.  Any new members are welcome.                           Admins: Page Eberhardth and Nina Iturra

Baptism Preparation

Preparing parents for the formation of their child’s faith. Spanish Classes offer every 4th Sunday of the month after 1:30 pm Mass. English Classes offer every 4th Saturday of the Month after the 5:30 pm Mass. Must call to register.                      Admins: Rev. Fr. Francisco Godinez and Deacon Jaime Alamillo.

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharistic

Extraordinary Ministers of Communion who serve the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to the sick and homebound.                                                      Admins: Amelia Santacruz (Spanish), English: Larraine Kluzik 

Flowers and Grounds

Volunteers who care for and beautify the grounds and church. Thank you to our Deacon Alamillo and his family and Mr. and Mrs Glorfield.

Readers

Liturgical Linen Service

Responsible for the preparation and care of the altar linens. This includes the washing and ironing of purificators, corporals, and altar linens and seasonal decorations. Admins: Laura Twiss & Jasmyne Rogge

RCIA

Rite of Christian Initiation – preparation of adult candidates for Catholic sacraments or those of us who wish to learn more about our faith.                  Admin: Johnathan Brody & Juan Maestas

Sacristan

Duties include preparing the altar for Mass and cleaning the altar following Mass.                              Admin: English: Vacant, Spanish: Jose Medina

Food Room

Provides food and some essentials things for those in our community in need. Always looking for any donations. Admin: Maria Galindo  

Religious Education 

Religious Education teacher who help us with our Sunday program from September thru April, teaching our children and helping them prepare for their First Holy Communion and Confirmation. (Always needing volunteers)

Youth Group

Volunteers helping the DRE with the High School and the Junior High Youth program. Meets on every third Wednesday of the month with the youth and discusses a different topic, plays games that help them understand more about their faith and brings them closer to God. (Always needing Volunteers)
